Indian Army 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme(TES)

The Indian Army has released a notification to recruit 90 candidates for the 10+2 Technical Entry Scheme (TES) 50. The candidates must have passed 10+2 Intermediate with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) stream. They must also have appeared in the JEE Mains 2023 examination. The age limit for the candidates is 16 years six months to 19 years six months as on 01 January 2023.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible for the TES 50 course, the candidates must meet the following criteria:

They must be Indian citizens.
They must have passed 10+2 Intermediate with at least 60% aggregate marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics (PCM) stream.
They must have appeared in the JEE Mains 2023 examination.
They must be unmarried and not have any children.
They must be physically and mentally fit.
They must have good character and conduct.
Age Limit

The minimum age for the Army TES 50 course is 16 years, six months, and the maximum is 19 years, six months, as of 01 January 2023.

Application Fee
There is no application fee for the Army TES 50 course for all candidates who have applied for the online form TES 47.

Note:

The age limit is calculated as on 01 January 2023.
The application fee is non-refundable.
The application form must be filled in correctly and completely.
Any false information in the application form will lead to the cancellation of the candidature.
Selection Process

The selection process for the TES 50 course will be conducted in two phases:

Phase 1: Written Examination

The shortlisted candidates will be called for a written examination. The written examination will be a multiple-choice question (MCQ) based examination. The examination will be conducted in English and Hindi. The questions will be on the following subjects:

Physics
Chemistry
Mathematics
General Knowledge
English

Phase 2: Medical Examination and Personal Interview

The candidates who clear the written examination will be called for a medical examination and a personal interview. A board of medical officers will conduct the medical examination. A board of officers will conduct the personal interview.

Training

The candidates selected for the TES 50 course will be trained at the Indian Military Academy (IMA) in Dehradun. The training will be for 48 weeks. The training will include the following:

Basic military training
Technical training in the following disciplines:
Electrical and Mechanical Engineering
Electronics and Communication Engineering
Computer Science and Engineering
Leadership training
Physical training
Career Prospects

After the training, the candidates will be commissioned as officers in the Indian Army. They can rise to the rank of General.

Application Process

The application process for the TES 50 course will be conducted online. The candidates can apply for the course through the official website of the Indian Army. The application process will begin on 01 June 2023 and end on 30 June 2023.

The application fee for the TES 50 course is Rs. 1000/- for General/OBC candidates and Rs. 800/- for SC/ST candidates. The application fee can be paid through Debit Card, Credit Card, or Net Banking.
